British technology journalist Ryan Morrison threw up an interesting LinkedIn post last week, sharing his after-hours project to build a new podcast player from scratch.
In just a single evening, he coded up PodPlaza. The system, built in PHP and Javascript coding languages, utilizes the iTunes API system to search, and a Java-based player to present the RSS feeds generated in the search.
PodPlaza offers a search bar, as well as click-thru buttons for topics.
And, because Morrison is apparently a sharing type of guy, he's also made the source code available to anyone who wants to poke around or play with the concept.
All of this just begs the question.... what did YOU do after dinner last night?
