Adobe is asking users to help polish their new Adobe Podcast, releasing a beta version of the browser-based software to current subscribers.
PodcastVideo's own Parker Dodson took a quick spin through Studio, the recording/editing program at the center of Adobe Podcast. His take: it's a simplified, cut and paste alternative to the more technical Adobe Audition. For basic recording, it works. Advanced users may want to stick to the customization available in Audition.
Studio joins the existing Enhance Speech and Mic Check tools under the Adobe Podcast banner.
There are a few caveats. First, access is only available to Adobe subscribers, who have to request access via an email to the development team. Tip: use the same email that's registered to your Adobe account.
The other limitations: the beta only currently runs on Google Chrome, on desktop; and it's only available in English.
